[mode 1]  – Interval mode which measures beam interruption.
[mode 2]  – Frequency mode which measures frequency of regular interruptions.
[mode 3]  – Period mode which measures the time of the first and third interruption.
[mode 4]  – Count mode which keeps track of the number of times the photogate is interrupted (for pendulum oscillations).
[mode 5]  – The timer can also be used as a stopwatch.
