  • This Angular Momentum Apparatus is useful for teaching mechanics and experiments involving angular momentum, moments of inertia and the relationship between torque and angular acceleration.
  • Comprises a large, horizontal wheel which revolves on a low friction bearing, vertically positioned ticker timer which records acceleration data on the outer edge of the horizontal wheel, adjustable launching ramp for rolling  steel balls into receiving cups, a second disc and a specially weighted dumbbell.
  • Fitted with a reliable 3-point levelling system.
  • Data could also be collected with computer monitored acceleration timers (not supplied).
  • A ticker tape roll and 3x steel balls supplied.
  • A 1.5-volts ‘D’ cell is required for ticker timer.
