Specific activity: 1 U corresponds to the amount of enzyme which liberates 1 μmol galacturonic acid from polygalacturonic acid per minute at pH 4.0 and 50° C.

Appearance (Color): Off white to light yellow to light brown and faint grey to light grey.

Solubility (Method): 5 mg/ml in enzyme dilution buffer.
